2013 Vermont Race for the Cure
September 21, 2013
5K Walk/Run 10K Run Kids Fun Run
Hildene Meadows, Manchester, Vermont
New Season! New Date!
With successive years of high heat at our July Race, we have decided to move to the cooler month of September. We hope this does not inconvenience any of our summer visitors and invite you to enjoy the beginning of fall foliage.
For those interested in a longer distance, we’ve added a 10K run! The route will split from the 5K course onto Richville Road for an out-and-back distance and then rejoin the 5K route on River Road to Hildene Meadows.
Registration & Race Number Pick-up
All registration and number pick-ups will take place at the Race site: Hildene Meadows, River Road, Manchester, VT

All Kids for the Cure participants will receive a gift from Mother Myrick’s Confectionary and a coupon good for one Adventure Pass at Bromley – Vermont’s Summer Adventure.
Race Raffle and Silent Auction
This year’s raffle prizes will include skis and bindings from Equipe Sport, a fabulous piece of jewelry from McWayne Jewelers and more. Raffle tickets are available with this application, online and at Hildene Meadows on Race weekend. Raffle winners will be drawn on Race day. Winners need not be present to win. The silent auction will include many exciting and valuable goods – from dinners and theater tickets, to wine, fabulous pottery and jewelry. Visit www.komenvtnh.org during September for a preview of the auction.
You can support the Race all year round with Vermont-New Hampshire Komen for the Cure shirts, hats, bandanas, fanny packs, mugs, a variety of pins and more. Race merchandise is available Friday and Saturday of Race weekend.
We are once again offering special flags that will line the Race course. The flags will be pink and white and will say, “In Memory of” or “In Celebration of” with a place to write in a name and the Race logo. Flags will cost $15 and will be available for you to take home if you wish. Flags can be filled out in the Registration Tent Race weekend but must be completed by 8:30 a.m. on Race Day in order to be put out on the course.
More Fun for Kids!
We know the kids have to wait around while the grown ups walk and run, so we have a special tent and activities to keep them entertained – arts and crafts, face painting, cotton candy and much, much more.
