Who are you running for? — Join in the fight against breast cancer by running a full or half marathon through Marathon for the Cure™
Rally for the Cure — Golf, tennis, dinner events and so much more...
A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
Each year, through efforts great and small – the Race for the Cure, Rallies for the Cure at area golf courses, the Tubbs Snowshoe Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer event at Stratton Mountain, Mom’s Day Off at Bromley Mountain, the Ride for the Cure held in October in Woodstock, Vermont, to name a few – thousands of Vermont and New Hampshire citizens give of their time and money to fight the spread of, and ultimately find the cure for, breast cancer.
Since our first Race at Manchester, Vermont’s Hildene Meadows, in 1993, the Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has generated more than $7.5 million, 75% of which stayed in the two-state region. That means that more than $5.7 million was devoted to breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in Vermont and New Hampshire; the remaining 25%, more than $1.8 million, helped support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s national research program.
